    Safety Policy & Guidelines

    The health and safety of our clients and employees has always been our top priority and will remain so. We want to reassure you that we have always taken the same precautions that hospitals and medical facilities use when it comes to cleaning and sanitation.

    We ask that clients with a fever or who have tested positive for COVID-19 within 5 days of their appointment date, kindly reschedule their appointment for a later date. We hold our employees to the same standard in an effort to keep our community healthy.

    Spa Etiquette

    Please turn off your mobile phone and/or device when inside the spa to maintain a serene ambiance and in consideration of other guests.

    We love children. However, due to safety and insurance purposes and consideration of other clients, please do not bring children under the age of 10 to the Spa without another adult present to supervise them.

    Cancellation Policy & Fee

    To ensure that clients are able to receive desired services in the appropriate amount of time, it is recommended that all appointments are booked in advance. A credit card number is required for all new and established clients at the time of booking your appointment. Card information will be added and stored safely through our secure electronic system that is backed by PCI compliance and ensures the highest level of point of sale safety.

    Upon scheduling your appointment, you are agreeing to our Cancellation/ No-show Policy. We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you are unable to make your appointment, kindly call us at 704-752-8030 or email us at appointments@vocimedspa.com no later than 24 hours prior to your appointment to avoid a $50 cancellation fee. If you fail to show up to your appointment, you will be charged a $50 no-show fee for your missed services. In the event that a client exceeds 3 no-shows or late cancellations, the client may be charged the full cost of the services scheduled.

    As a courtesy to our clients, an appointment confirmation email and text message will be sent out to all clients with appointments upon booking and 48 hours prior to the appointment if it is still unconfirmed. An appointment reminder will be sent out 24 hours prior to the appointment as well, providing a valid cell phone number or email address has been given and reminder preferences have not been altered. Clients may request to opt out of text and email reminders. It remains the responsibility of the client to manage the appointment and comply with the cancellation policy.

    Tardiness Policy

    We encourage all clients to arrive for their appointment at least 10 minutes in advance in order to assure that the appropriate paperwork is completed prior to their scheduled appointment. In the event that a client arrives more than 10 minutes late for an appointment, the appointment time may be shortened or result in a cancellation if there is not enough time available to complete the service. If an appointment is canceled due to late arrival, the client will be charged a cancellation fee of $50.

    Refund Policy

    At Voci MedSpa, we pride ourselves on providing high-quality products, services and care for our clients. Our highly experienced and qualified technicians continually strive to ensure that our clients are pleased with their experience and achieve optimal individual results. With this in mind, we do not offer refunds for any services, including prepaid services or packages. All service and package sales are final. All skincare products, makeup, prescription products, gift cards, and other retail items are non-refundable.

    We are continually expanding and upgrading our services and treatments here at Voci MedSpa. Although we make every effort to keep our website and spa menus updated, please note that prices for products and services are subject to change at any time.

    Please understand that as the cost of products and supplies increase for us, we may have to increase the cost of some of our services as well. We are doing our best to keep our prices affordable for our clients while providing you with the highest quality products and services.

    Age Requirement

    Spa guests must be 18 years of age or older to receive treatments without the approval or accompaniment of an adult. Any client under the age of 18 must have a consent signed by a parent or legal guardian.

    VI Peel

    What to expect

    • After-care kits with step-by-step instructions will be provided to you after your peel.
    • The first two days your skin will look a little tan, bronzed, or pink. It may also feel a bit tight before the peeling begins.
    • Typically, peeling begins on day 3, starting around the mouth then peeling outward. The forehead and neck are the last areas to peel. Days 3, 4 and 5 are usually the heaviest days of peeling.

    • Botulinum toxin type A acts on nerve endings in muscles to prevent muscle fibers from contracting. By reducing these contractions, XEOMIN® can temporarily reduce the lines on your forehead between your brows.
    • XEOMIN® was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in July 2011. It is now widely available to patients across the US.

    Post Treatment

    Your treatment involves multiple injections designed to induce an inflammatory reaction in the area of treatment thus commonly you can expect the following:

    • Pain described as mild in 75% of individuals that will peak the evening after treatment once the numbing medication wears off. Pain is most commonly described as “tender” in 4 hours (on average this can last 7 days). However, some patients may experience complete numbness for 7-14 days.
    • Swelling/Induration (a hard or heavy feeling, like a “hockey puck”) is expected, and on average can last 10-14 days. However, up to 20% of those treated can last up to 30 days.
    • Bruising or Hematoma at the injection sites can be common and would be expected to resolve as any other bruise you may have had in the past.
    • Numbness in the treated area, as mentioned earlier, is common and can take up to 30 days to resolve.
    • Approximately 1.9% of those treated to date have experienced some difficulty swallowing, which is attributable to a sensation of fullness in the treated area from the volume of liquid injected and/or swelling/edema. On average, this is resolved in 3-5 days for most individuals.
    • Should you experience asymmetry in your smile notify Voci MedSpa as this may represent a transient paralysis of the Marginal Mandibular Nerve. In this clinical trials, all cases have resolved without additional interventions needed with a median duration of 44 days (range 1-298 days).
    • Additional comfort post-treatment can be obtained with ice to the treated area for 20 minutes every 2-3 hours.
    • Continued use of Arnica pills for 3-5 days post-treatment can be helpful if bruising is present.

    Does Botox treatment hurt?

    Some patients report that being injected with Botox feels like a pinch. Your provider may use ice to numb the treatment area. If you are receiving masseter Botox, the injections are typically quick and well tolerated. A topical numbing cream can also be applied prior to treatment if needed.

    How long does Botox treatment take?

    The treatment takes approximately 15+ minutes and requires minimal downtime or recovery. Botox is often called a “lunchtime procedure,” including treatments involving the masseter muscle.

    We recommend the following:

    • Stay upright/vertical position for 4-6 hours post-injection.
    • Refrain from any activities that may increase circulation to the area such as exercise, excess heat from sun, jacuzzis or saunas for 24 hours.
    • Over the counter medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, alive and some herbal medicines may increase the risk and/or worsen bruising. You may be instructed to avoid these medications unless prescribed by your physician. Discuss ALL current and new medications with your injector prior to treatment. You may be instructed to refrain from alcohol consumption for 24 hours. If bruising does occur you may use arnica montana as directed by your injectionist.
    • Unless otherwise instructed, avoid touching or massaging the treated area unless instructed otherwise.
    • You may be asked to avoid full body massage for 48 hours after Botox on masseter muscles or facial injections.
    • Discuss all medications and supplements with your injector before treatment.

    Risks & Complications

    Side effects of Botox may include headache, bruising, swelling, tenderness, asymmetry, twitching, numbness, and infection at the injection site. While uncommon, Botox treatments involving the masseter muscle may temporarily affect chewing strength as the muscles adapt to treatment.

    Although results are frequently dramatic, individual outcomes vary. Some patients may require additional treatments or higher dosing for larger muscle groups such as the masseter muscles.
